My first new car was an Opel Kadett C vintage 1979. It was purchased from Andersen & Martini in Glostrup for DKK 54768,-.

A really nice and easy car. Mecanically it was relatively simple, and even I could handle the most simple repairs.

Once, I had to go from Aalborg to Skagen, and in my eagerness I had pressed it just enough. When I left Skagen again it was dead. Upon closer examination, it turned out that 4 screws that held the carburetor cover in place were shaken completely off and had disappeared. I placed the petrol floats gently and pressed the cover in place and tied it all together with a string. Then it spun again and managed all the way back to Aalborg without any problems.
